The new cabinet combines experienced leaders with young faces. Political analysts believe that considering the massive mandate in Bihar, the NDA has tried to form a strong and balanced team to accelerate future policies and development work.

In the recently concluded Bihar Assembly elections, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) registered a historic and decisive victory. Out of the 243 seats in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, the NDA won 202 seats, a landslide result seen as a clear mandate from the people.
The NDA’s seat tally is as follows:
In contrast, the opposition Mahagathbandhan secured only 35 seats, which proved to be a major setback for them. The results clearly indicate that voters chose development, stability, and good governance.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Nitish Kumar through a social media post immediately after the swearing-in. He wrote that Nitish Kumar is an experienced administrator whose long governance record is invaluable for Bihar. The Prime Minister expressed confidence that under Nitish Kumar’s leadership, Bihar will achieve new heights of development.
PM Modi also highlighted that Bihar has once again endorsed the politics of stability and progress, and the NDA government is committed to fulfilling this mandate.

The swearing-in ceremony at the historic Gandhi Maidan was conducted amid tight security arrangements. From early morning, the venue was filled with party supporters and workers. With PM Modi and many national leaders present on stage, the event was not just a government function but also a large-scale demonstration of NDA’s strength and unity.
Political observers note that choosing an open ground like Gandhi Maidan signifies the NDA’s intent to project the victory as a people-driven mandate, symbolizing public blessings on the new government.
As Nitish Kumar begins his new term, several major challenges lie ahead, including:
However, Nitish Kumar is widely regarded as a calm, experienced, and development-oriented leader. The massive mandate reflects the public’s continued trust in his leadership.
With this swearing-in ceremony, a new chapter for the NDA government in Bihar has officially begun. Nitish Kumar and his cabinet are expected to initiate several new policies and development programs aimed at taking the state forward. Once again, Nitish Kumar has reaffirmed his position as one of the most influential political figures in Bihar’s contemporary politics
