The Christmas programme commenced with a graceful and devotional prayer dance, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere and setting the perfect tone for the festive occasion. This was followed by enchanting performances of Hindi and English Christmas carol songs by student groups. The melodious carol singing beautifully reflected the true spirit of Christmas—peace, love, and joy, leaving the audience mesmerized.

Adding a creative and contemporary dimension to the Christmas celebration, students of the Department of English Communication and Media Studies presented a thematic theatrical performance based on the birth of Jesus Christ. The play, titled “Homestay Hungama,” was directed by Mr Frank Krishner, Assistant Professor, English Communication and Media Studies. The students received academic guidance from Dr Tausif Hasan, Head of the Department, and Dr Runa, Assistant Professor. The performance uniquely blended drama inspired by the famous Christmas carol “Hark the Herald” with classical dance elements, making it one of the highlights of the college Christmas event.

The festive spirit was further enriched by a vibrant tribal dance performance showcasing the indigenous culture of Jharkhand, which was widely appreciated by the audience and added cultural diversity to the Christmas festivities.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College, emphasized the importance of Christmas, highlighting values such as compassion, self-reflection, inner growth, and service to humanity. The event was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr Sister Celine Crasta A.C., Head, Department of History and Cultural Coordinator, and Sister M. Luvina A.C., Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology.
