The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna University, organized a one-day hands-on workshop on “Emerging Trends in Semiconductor Technology” on January 6, 2026. The college is accredited with an A++ Grade by NAAC (4th Cycle), reflecting its commitment to academic excellence and industry-oriented learning.

The workshop conducted by Dr. Bibhuti Bikramaditya, Director, Smartway Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and Incubator, IIT Patna, a renowned expert in the field of semiconductor and VLSI technologies. The programme aims to provide students with practical exposure and in-depth understanding of the latest advancements in the semiconductor industry.

According to the organizers, the key focus areas of the workshop include an introduction to VLSI and FPGA technology and hands-on training in HDL programming. The initiative is designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world industry applications, especially for students pursuing careers in artificial intelligence, machine learning, electronics, and allied domains.

The workshop held from 10:00 am to 3:15 pm, offering an intensive learning experience through interactive sessions and practical demonstrations. Faculty members stated that such industry-linked programmes play a crucial role in enhancing technical skills, fostering innovation, and improving employability among students.

With this initiative, Patna Women’s College continues to strengthen its focus on emerging technologies, skill-based education, and industry-academia collaboration, empowering students to stay ahead in the rapidly evolving technological landscape.
