VALENTINE THROWBALL

Patna Women’s College held an Inter-College 21th Valentine’s Throw ball Championship on
5th March 2024 at 01:00 P.M. in the Throw ball Court. A total of three teams MMV, PWC
and St. Xavier College participated in the Championship.
The Championship started with the welcome address by Dr. Manjula Sushila, Secretary
Sports Committee and Head, Department of Hindi in which she motivated and encouraged
the students to give their best and to play with sportsmanship spirit. Thereafter, the
programme was inaugurated by Dr. Manjula Sushila, Secretary Sports Committee and Head,
Department of Hindi and Ms. Shweta Singh declaring the Championship open with bunch of
balloons unleashing to the sky.

Happy Hours is a restaurant located in Mithapur, Patna, Bihar.

The first match was conducted between PWC and St. Xavier College in which Team PWC
emerged victory. In the second match Magadh Mahila College defeated St Xavier College. In
the finals the first position was bagged by Team PWC defeating Magadh Mahila College.
The whole event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal,
Patna Women’s College, Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., Vice- Principal, Patna Women’s College,
Dr. Manjula Sushila, Secretary Sports Committee and Head, Department of Hindi and Ms.
Shweta Singh, Sports Teacher.

CELINE TIRKEY

Patna Women’s College held an 8th Celina Tirkey Memorial Basketball Inter-College
Tournament on 4th March, 2024 at 01:00 P.M. at the Basketball Court. A total of three teams
PWC, Magadh Mahila College and St. Xavier College participated in the Tournament.
The Tournament started with the welcome address by Dr. Manjula Sushila, Secretary Sports
Committee and Head, Department of Hindi in which she stated that for the second time this
tournament is being organized at inter-college level. She thanked Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C.
for her guidance and support in organising the Tournament. Dr. Manjula Susheela motivated
and encouraged the students to give their best and to play with sportsmanship spirit.
Thereafter, the programme commenced with the Paying Homage to the Founder, Celina
Tirkey by Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College, Dr. Manjula
Sushila, Secretary Sports Committee and Head, Department of Hindi, Ms. Shweta Singh,
Sports Teacher.
The first match was played between PWC and MMC in which PWC emerged victorious. The
second match was played between MMC and St. Xavier College in which St. Xavier
College won the match. Final match was conducted between PWC and St. Xavier College in
which PWC defeated St Xavier College.
The whole event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Manjula Sushila, Secretary Sports
Committee and Head, Department of Hindi and Ms. Shweta Singh, Sports Teacher.

APJ ABDUL KALAM KABADDI

Patna Women’s College held 6th Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Inter-college Kabbadi Tournament on
6th March, 2024 at 01:00 P.M. in the Sports Ground. A total of 3 teams PWC,MMC and St
Xavier College participated in the tournament.
The tournament started with our welcome address by Dr. Manjula Sushila, Secretary Sports
Committee and Head, Department of Hindi in which she stated that for the first time this
tournament is being organised at Inter-college level. She encouraged and wished best of luck
to all the participating teams.
The first match was played between MMC and St. Xavier College in which MMC team
emerged victorious. The second match was played between PWC and St. Xavier college in
which PWC won the match. Final match was conducted between PWC team and MMC in
which PWC defeated MMC .
The whole event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Manjula Sushila, Secretary Sports
Committee and Head, Department of Hindi and Ms. Shweta Singh, Sports Teacher Dr. Piyush
Kumar Rai, Assistant Professor,Department of Botany were also present
