“Eeha” centers on the lives of children from slums who are deprived of education

Voice Into Theater Presents “Eeha” Directed by Manjari Mani Tripathi

On September 25, 2024, Voice Into Theater presented the play “Eeha”, written and directed by Manjari Mani Tripathi, at the Premchand Rangshala in Patna.

Summary:

“Eeha” centers on the lives of children from slums who are deprived of education. These children, much like wildflowers, grow without nurturing and must gather their own sustenance for survival. They lack both land to call their own and the sky to dream under. The play sheds light on their harsh realities, focusing on Eeha, a young girl from this marginalized community. Eeha struggles to survive in a world filled with darkness, without a roof over her head or a place to call her own.

Caught between her responsibilities and her dreams, Eeha realizes that education is her only way to a better future. However, the question lingers: Will Eeha and other children like her ever get the opportunity to attend school? Will the darkness that clouds their lives ever fade? Will Eeha ever find her own piece of the sky?
