Streamlined Traffic Management a Top Priority of the Administration
Patna, Tuesday, January 28, 2025 – Under the directive of Patna Divisional Commissioner Shri Mayank Varvadhe, a multi-agency special encroachment removal drive was conducted across Patna city today. The operation, part of an ongoing effort to address encroachment issues, is being monitored and reviewed regularly by the Commissioner.
The Commissioner has instructed all Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs) and Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) to supervise the drive effectively and ensure that follow-up teams remain active to prevent re-encroachment. Legal action is to be taken against individuals causing disruptions during the operation.
The drive saw the active participation of officials and personnel from various departments, including the administration, municipal corporation, traffic police, transport, revenue, road construction, health, police, fire brigade, bridge construction, telecom, forest division, and electricity departments.
During the drive, a vehicle-checking campaign was also conducted by the traffic police to ensure compliance with traffic rules. Follow-up teams, under the supervision of concerned SDOs and SDPOs, have been instructed to actively monitor areas to prevent re-encroachment. Any re-encroachment will be met with strict action, including FIR registration.
The Commissioner has emphasized zero tolerance for traffic disruptions, encroachment, and traffic rule violations. Sub-Divisional Officers have been directed to coordinate with municipal bodies to ensure the success of the campaign.
