101 Teams Participated in the Quiz Competition Held at Urja Auditorium
Patna – The team from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna has secured a remarkable victory in the prestigious NTPC Electron Quiz 2025 Patna Regional Round. The event took place today at Urja Auditorium, Patna.
The winning team comprised Aryan Dabad and Keertan Jain.
The second place was secured by Aman Kumar and Shivani Kumari from Government Engineering College, Vaishali, while Bhaskar Raj and Ayush Anand from Chandragupt Institute of Management, Patna, clinched the third position.
The competition kicked off in the morning with an on-the-spot written examination round. Among the teams that qualified for the final audio-visual round were IIT Patna, Government Engineering College – Vaishali, Chandragupt Institute of Management – Patna, and Lalit Narayan Mithila Institute of Management, Patna. In total, six teams advanced to the final stage. The final round was conducted by Gautam Bose, a renowned quizmaster from Delhi.
The top two teams from the Regional Round will now move on to the Semifinals and National Finals, scheduled to be held in Noida on February 27 and 28, 2025, respectively.
On this occasion, Sudip Nag, Regional Executive Director (East-I), NTPC, presented cash prizes to the winners—₹30,000 for the first-place team, ₹20,000 for the second-place team, and ₹10,000 for the third-place team.
Additionally, the remaining three teams that participated in the audio-visual round received consolation prizes of ₹4,000 per team.
Addressing the participants, Chief Guest Sudip Nag stated, “Just as NTPC provides energy to the nation, the Electron Quiz ignites the light of knowledge among young minds, honing their potential and intellectual abilities.” He further mentioned that NTPC launched the Electron Quiz in 2004, and since then, it has become an annual event with Regional Rounds followed by the National Finals.
The event witnessed the presence of Deepak Ranjan Dehuri (Chief General Manager, Operations Services), Matthew E. Kovoor (General Manager, Operations Services), Anil Kumar Chawla (Regional HR Head), Dr. Karuna Chawla (Secretary, Sujata Ladies Club), Vishwanath Chandan (NTPC Spokesperson), and other senior NTPC officials. The competition also drew a large number of students from various engineering and management institutions in the region.
The NTPC Electron Quiz 2025 aims to promote knowledge acquisition, critical thinking, and a culture of learning among young minds, reinforcing NTPC’s commitment to fostering intellectual excellence and nurturing future talent.
