Patna Social Worker Sets Example of Fuel Conservation by Cycling Daughter to School

Patna, Bihar: Amid growing concerns over the global fuel crisis triggered by ongoing international conflicts, a social worker from Patna has taken a unique initiative to spread awareness about fuel conservation and environmental responsibility. For the past several days, social worker Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Kadamkuan in Patna, has been cycling his daughter Urjita to and from school instead of using a motor vehicle.

Through this small but meaningful effort, Kumar aims to inspire citizens to reduce unnecessary fuel consumption and contribute towards the nation’s energy security. According to him, the ongoing geopolitical tensions involving countries such as the United States, Israel, and Iran have intensified the global fuel crisis, affecting economies and common citizens across the world. India, too, is facing the impact of rising fuel prices and increasing dependence on imported petroleum products.

Speaking about his initiative, Rakesh Kumar said that every citizen has a responsibility toward the country during challenging times. “Our nation is not untouched by the global fuel crisis. We should use fuel only when absolutely necessary. Saving fuel is strengthening the nation,” he said while taking his daughter to school on a bicycle.He further emphasized that people should prefer bicycles, electric vehicles, or public transportation for short distances instead of relying on petrol or diesel-powered vehicles. According to him, if every citizen makes small changes in their daily lifestyle, it can collectively create a significant impact on fuel conservation and environmental protection.Local residents and passersby have appreciated Kumar’s initiative, calling it a positive example of responsible citizenship. Many people believe such awareness campaigns at the grassroots level are necessary at a time when environmental concerns and fuel shortages are becoming global issues.
