Notorious Criminals and Arms Smuggler Arrested in Bihar: Murder Plot Foiled, Illegal Weapons Seized
Criminal Adarsh Kumar alias Golu and Associates Arrested in Saran, Murder Plot Foiled
Chhapra (Saran): In a joint operation, Bihar STF and Saran district police arrested notorious criminal Adarsh Kumar alias Golu along with two of his associates with illegal firearms. The arrests were made under Bheldi police station case number 34/25, dated 08.02.2025, under sections 25(1-B)A/26/35 of the Arms Act.
The arrested criminals have been identified as:
- Adarsh Kumar alias Golu (resident of Parsa, Bheldi, Saran)
- Mukesh Sharma (resident of Pahadpur, Baikunthpur, Gopalganj)
- Prince Kumar (resident of Laghuni, Panapur, Saran)
Action Taken on Confidential Tip-Off
Bihar STF received intelligence that Adarsh Kumar alias Golu and his associates were planning a murder. Acting swiftly on this information, the STF and Saran police raided the location and apprehended the criminals.
Seized Items:
- One country-made pistol
- Four live cartridges
- Two mobile phones
Murder Plot Over ₹5 Lakh Extortion Demand
During interrogation, it was revealed that notorious criminal Saurabh Kumar, currently in jail, had demanded ₹5 lakh in extortion from a teacher in Saran district. When the teacher refused to pay, Saurabh Kumar hired Adarsh Kumar alias Golu and his associates to kill him. However, the police’s prompt action foiled the plan.

Gaya’s Notorious Arms Smuggler Anuj Chaudhary Arrested
Gaya: The Bihar STF special team arrested Anuj Chaudhary alias Annu Chaudhary, a notorious illegal arms smuggler from Gaya district. He was arrested from Barun police station area (Aurangabad).
The arrest was made under Bela Ganj police station case number 487/24, dated 18.08.2024, under sections 317(5) BNS, 25(1-B)A, 25(8), 26/35 of the Arms Act.
Seized Items:
- One fake firearm license
Previous Raid Recovered 7 Guns, 1 Pistol, and 1,500 Cartridges
On August 18, 2024, a raid at Anuj Chaudhary’s house led to the arrest of two criminals, and the recovery of 7 DBBL guns, 1 pistol, and 1,500 live cartridges. However, Anuj Chaudhary managed to escape at that time.
Wide Network of Arms Smuggling
Anuj Chaudhary and his gang were involved in smuggling illegal weapons across Gaya, Aurangabad, Jehanabad, and Arwal districts. His arrest is seen as a significant breakthrough for Bihar police in curbing the illegal arms trade.
