Lucknow, March 17, 2025: Ahead of the highly anticipated Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) team, led by captain Rishabh Pant and team owner Sanjiv Goenka, paid a courtesy visit to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday. The Chief Minister extended his best wishes to the players, coaching staff, and management, encouraging them to deliver an exceptional performance in the upcoming tournament.
During the meeting, CM Yogi Adityanath lauded Lucknow Super Giants for their impressive performances in previous seasons, highlighting the team’s talent, discipline, and sportsmanship. He expressed confidence that LSG players would give their best effort in IPL 2025 to secure the coveted IPL trophy.
Addressing the team, the Chief Minister emphasized that Uttar Pradesh is ushering in a new era in sports. He outlined the government’s initiatives to promote a strong sports culture, which has enabled young athletes from the state to make a mark on national and international platforms. CM Yogi urged the players to uphold determination, discipline, and sportsmanship, serving as role models for aspiring young cricketers. He expressed his belief that Lucknow Super Giants will excel in IPL 2025 and clinch the title.
During the meeting, LSG players and management appreciated the state’s efforts in developing sports infrastructure, crediting these initiatives for producing talented athletes who are excelling in various national and international sports events.
The meeting saw the presence of LSG captain Rishabh Pant, along with players Aryan Juyal, Himmat Singh, Abdul Samad, Shahbaz Ahmed, Yuvraj Chaudhary, HR Suhas, Arshin Kulkarni, Ayush Badoni, Siddharth M, Digvesh Rathi, Akash Singh, Prince Yadav, Mohsin Khan, Ravi Bishnoi, Shardul Thakur, Shivam Mavi, David Miller, Aiden Markram, Matthew Paul, Nicholas Pooran, and Shamar Malvern.
Additionally, LSG coaching staff members including mentor Zaheer Khan, head coach Justin Langer, Vijay Dahiya, and Lance Klusener were present. LSG COO Vinay Chopra and team manager Soumyadeep also attended the meeting.
With IPL 2025 around the corner, the Lucknow Super Giants are gearing up to make a strong impact and chase their dream of lifting the IPL trophy this season.
