“January 29, 2026, marked the commencement of the three-day Annual Techno-Cultural Fest VIRASAT 2025–26 with the College Day Celebration organized by Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna University. The Open Air Stage Hall resonated with joy, enthusiasm, and vibrant energy as students gathered to celebrate the institution’s rich cultural and creative spirit. The programme began ceremoniously with the hoisting of the College Flag, followed by the soulful rendition of the College Anthem.

A mesmerizing prayer dance infused the atmosphere with spiritual serenity, which was followed by a melodious group welcome song, setting a graceful and auspicious tone for the celebrations. Dr. Sister M. Rashmi AC, Principal, Patna Women’s College, addressed the gathering and inspired the students through her motivating words, encouraging them to strive for excellence while actively participating in cultural and creative pursuits.

The highlight of the day was the much-anticipated Miss PWC Contest 2025–26, conducted in three engaging rounds. The first round featured an elegant catwalk, where participants showcased confidence, poise, and individuality. This was followed by a captivating Kalbeliya dance performance, reflecting the vibrant folk traditions of Rajasthan and enthralling the audience. The programme was further enriched by a soulful singing performance, which received warm appreciation from the audience.

The second round of the contest comprised a written segment, wherein participants demonstrated creativity, clarity of thought, and writing skills within a stipulated time. This was followed by an energetic western dance performance, adding a contemporary rhythm and youthful vibrance to the event. The final round consisted of an on-the-spot question session, during which the judges assessed the participants’ confidence, presence of mind, and articulation through insightful and relevant questions.

The jury panel for the Miss PWC Contest 2025–26 included Mrs. Prerna Pratap, Anchor, DD News and renowned poetess; Ms. Naina Jha, Associate Director, Grey Matters Communication and Consultancy Services, Patna; and Mr. Frank Krishner, Assistant Professor, Department of English Communication and Media, Patna Women’s College. The winners of the Miss PWC Contest 2025–26 were Sakshi Sharma (Winner), Pratiksha Anand (First Runner-up), and Vaishnavi Sinha (Second Runner-up).

The event was meticulously coordinated by the Cultural Coordinators—Dr. Sister Celine Crasta AC, Head, Department of History; Ms. Enakahi Dey Biswas, Coordinator, Performing Arts; Ms. Puja Kumari, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce; and Ms. Kriti Rani, whose dedicated efforts ensured the smooth conduct and grand success of the programme. The event was gracefully moderated by Anushka Deo and Soumya Vartika, Joint General Secretaries, Student Council 2025–26.
